About the Pastor
Roger Michael Cooper Sr. was born in Highland Park, Michigan August 15, 1949. His parents Rev. Charles C. and Maude Wilson Cooper were born and raised in Overton County, TN. Roger grew up in Hazel Park, Michigan. He attended William Tyndale College (formerly Detroit Bible College) and the Great Lakes Bible Institute. He pastored Faith Free Will Baptist in Romeo, Michigan and the First Free Will Baptist in Hazel Park, Michigan.
Roger is married to Inis Mullins Cooper. She was born in Haysi, Virginia. They met through a Christian radio program Roger was involved with in the late 60's and early 70's. The station was WEXL in Royal Oak, Michigan. Roger and Inis have three sons, two daughters-in-law and three grandchildren. The Coopers are honored to serve the Lord in the upper Cumberland area.
